MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS

At their core, marketing and public relations are all about communications. The Association's Marketing and Public Advocacy Group is focused on using a wide variety of media to communicate with member credit unions and consumers. An additional and equally important role that this group plays is in assisting credit unions in their efforts to make the most of their marketing and public relations efforts.

The individual tasks are diverse, as are the audiences. They range from providing up to date and interesting news to member credit unions through publications such as Horizons to planning and managing the Association's annual meeting which brings together a wide variety of credit union officials for face to face interaction and communication. Educating the consumer is another vital task that this group meets through management of the Rhode Island Credit Union Image Campaign and through frequent and ongoing contact with the press.
