The Credit Union Association of Rhode Island, the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Credit Union Leagues, and The Warren Group will again host The Great New England Credit Union Show on April 19, 2012, in the Parade Hall at the Holiday Inn, Boxborough, MA.
- Small business survey shows support for credit union MBL increase
A survey, released recently and executed by the Small Business Majority, shows 90% of small business owner respondents want credit unions and community banks to be permitted to lend more to small businesses.
- Reminder – Form 990 small business health care tax credit
Your credit union may be eligible for an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) refund. Certain eligible credit unions may be entitled to file for a tax credit with the IRS. Included in the Affordable Health Care Act, enacted in March 2010, the small business health care tax credit is designed to encourage small businesses and small tax-exempt organizations (including credit unions) to offer health insurance coverage to their employees or maintain coverage they already have.
- Special Olympics Calendar
During the holiday season, the credit unions in Rhode Island, in conjunction with the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island’s Social Responsibility Committee, participated in a new fundraising event, the "Inspire Greatness Calendar Raffle" to benefit Special Olympics Rhode Island.
