People’s Credit Union (PCU) is seeking a MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR.

The Mortgage Loan Originator is an outside sales position. Originators visit real estate brokers and other professionals involved with home mortgage financing for the purpose of keeping them informed of products, services and rates available at PCU. Identify and meet with members to explain various mortgage products available and help determine the best product to suit their needs. Meet with borrowers for the purpose of pre-qualifying/pre-approving them for mortgage financing. Guide the borrower through the loan application process and submit the required information for processing. Coordinate communications between members, processors, underwriters, closing agents and others to ensure a smooth loan closing. Originate loans in and out of the office at borrower’s or other party’s convenience. Remain informed of current trends and market factors affecting mortgage lending. Produce assigned loan volume within established guideline. Cross sell other products and service to the members.

Candidates should possess 2 years of mortgage origination experience. Excellent sales ability; knowledge of all types of residential mortgage loans including FNMA, special products and programs, Non-Conforming and Jumbo Loans. Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Dexter is currently seeking a MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating residential real estate loans, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys and other key individuals in the mortgage lending industry. You must be a highly energetic and self-motivated professional with a proven ability of exceeding goals. To be considered for this position you should possess a Bachelor’s degree with two years of mortgage sales experience or a minimum of five years of mortgage sales experience. Additionally, you must be able to solve problems, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of all aspects of originating, underwriting, processing and closing of real estate loans.
