Rhode Island Credit Union is seeking an ASSISTANT CONTROLLER to oversee all aspects of Accounting Department operations and personnel and to ensure that all work is prepared timely and accurately. Reporting directly to and providing support to the Vice President/Controller, the Assistant Controller will assist in the preparation of financial statements, audits and examinations and any related reporting. Candidates must possess an accounting degree with at least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Strong computer skills and spreadsheet knowledge, especially in Microsoft Excel, is required as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position requires a motivated candidate who can meet deadlines, effect departmental efficiencies and direct staff to meet goals and objectives.

MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR
As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating residential real estate loans, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys and other key individuals in the mortgage lending industry. You must be a highly energetic and self-motivated professional with a proven ability of exceeding goals. To be considered for this position you should possess a Bachelor’s degree with two years of mortgage sales experience or a minimum of five years of mortgage sales experience. Additionally, you must be able to solve problems, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of all aspects of originating, underwriting, processing and closing of real estate loans.

ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER
As Assistant Branch Manager you would support the Branch Manager by overseeing the efficient operation of all Teller and Member Service staff functions while conveying a feeling of service and satisfaction to our members. You must be proficient with core data processing, vault cash and ATM balancing, member service duties as well as a familiarity with Credit Union products and services.

You must have at least two years of supervisory banking -- preferably credit union -- experience, knowledge of state and federal banking policies and procedures, excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to work with all levels of staff. An Associates’ Degree preferred.
