2008 Annual Meeting

Every year credit union volunteers, officials, CEOs and guests from Rhode Island come together for the state’s largest credit union gathering.  The reasons that this Annual Meeting draws so many attendees are almost as varied as the people who attend.

Columnist/radio talk show personality Howie Carr to speak at Annual Meeting June 23, 2008

The Credit Union Association of Rhode Island’s Convention Committee will hold its 74th Annual Meeting on Monday, June 23, 2008, at Carmine’s Italian Restaurant located at Twin River in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
 
Registration and a reception will begin at 4:00 p.m.  The Business Meeting will start at 5:00 p.m.  At the conclusion of the Business Meeting, through the generous support of Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union, the Association is pleased that columnist/radio talk show personality Howie Carr will make a special presentation entitled, "Stalked by Whitey Bulger."  The Association is grateful for the continuous support that Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union has given to the credit unions in Rhode Island each year and values the special relationship between the organizations.

At theconclusion of Howie Carr's presentation, dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.  Following dinner at 8:00 p.m., the Ocean State Follies will entertain the group with their comedy cabaret that spoofs the goings-on in Rhode Suland through song parodies, improv, and skits.  There are always bits being writeen, as new scandals are materializing.
